Wednesday Night Worlds Digital Media

Social Media & Website Update

Wednesday Night Worlds is the longest-running XC mountain bike race series in the Pacific Northwest and a cornerstone of the region’s racing community. Coming into 2025, the series sat on the brink of collapse—but was saved in the final hour. As part of the rebuilding efforts, I was brought on to revitalize their social media presence. The goals: reactivate existing community members, reach new riders, and help make Wednesday night everyone’s favorite night of the week.

I created and managed social media content across Instagram and Facebook—designed graphics, Reels with race coverage, community highlights, the works. I also collaborated with guest riders and other local cycling organizations to expand reach and build connections.

Beyond social, I gave their website a refresh: decluttered information, streamlined navigation, strengthened the Call-To-Action (online registration), introduced clear content hierarchy, and reinforced the Wednesday Night Worlds brand throughout.

Results

Social media saw strong growth, though I don’t have access to complete historical data. Among the posts I can track, I saw a 300% increase in reach and 225% increase in reactions.

I also introduced Instagram Reels to the account for the first time. They averaged 927 views per Reel (peaking at 1,337), with 56% coming from non-followers—which was huge for reaching new riders. The account grew by an estimated 15–20% through the season.
